Oklahoma: Suspended Church Workers Will Return
"Five suspended employees of a Tulsa megachurch who were accused of waiting more than two weeks to report rape allegations by a 13-year-old girl will return to the ministry by the end of the month with different responsibilities, church leaders said. The pastor, Bruce Edwards, made the announcement during weekend services at the Victory Christian Center, a 17,000-member worldwide ministry. Prosecutors say that the girl told employees in mid-August that she had been raped in a stairwell on the church’s campus, but that the police were not informed until Aug. 30, after church officials said they did their own investigation."
